Use the Springfield News Sun E-edition to complete an extra credit assignment.  The assignment is worth 10 extra credit points if done to its full potential.  You can find the directions to the assignment under Class Files, Springfield News Sun Article.  Submit your work on the class website when you are done; it is due by November 17th for extra credit points.

Ten extra credit points will be given to students whose parents attend parent-teacher conferences for English.  Parent-teacher conferences will be held on Monday (November 9) and Wednesday (November 11) from 4 o'clock until 7 o'clock p.m.  If your parent is unable to attend, they can do a phone conference during the school week of November 9th, and you will still receive the extra credit points.

**NOTE:  I will be at a conference on November 11th, but I will still be at conferences (although I may be running late).  Please make your parents aware of this information.***

CHANGE IN ASSIGNMENT:  You will only be required to create 7 minutes of commercials for this assignment.  It is due on Monday November 2; however, you will not have time to work on it in class on Monday.  If you do not finish in class on Friday, October 30, you will need to utilize your Intervention Period.

The following is a list of basic supplies you will need for this course.

1.  Writing Utensils (Pens or Pencils are acceptable)
2.  Folder or Binder (Either are acceptabe)
3.  Notebook or Loose paper (Either are acceptable)
4.  Flash Drive/USB Drive (Optional but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - no amount of memory is specified.  This device is used to back up, transport, etc. files for class projects and assignments.  It is quite possible to attain the grade of 'A' without this device, but it does make things easier for students.)
