English 12 is a class that provides students opportunities to utilize communication skills emphasizing vocabulary enrichment and grammatical precision. Students will revisit comprehension reading strategies and writing processes. Students are introduced to sophisticated literary analysis from a multicultural perspective using various genres and multiple modes of writing. In addition, students will finalize their Career Passport Portfolios. English 12 is a technology and project-based course.

Students will be encouraged to think "outside of the box".

Website Moving

Below you will find a list of supplies needed for this course during the 2010-2011 school year. Once students receive their laptops, this website will no longer be used as we will be using another website (Moodle) for our English class. You will find that website password protected at this point in time. All information on this site is current and will be until the website is moved.

English Supplies for 2010-2011 School Year

The following is a list of basic supplies you will need for this course:

1. Writing Utensils (Pens or Pencils are acceptable)
2. Folder or Binder (Either are acceptabe)
3. Notebook or Loose paper (Either are acceptable)
4. Headphones
5. Flash Drive/USB Drive (Optional but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - no amount of memory is specified. This device is used to back up, transport, etc. files for class projects and assignments. It is quite possible to attain the grade of 'A' without this device, but it does make things easier for students.)
